We offer the Development program to skiers of all ability levels; from first time beginner to the future racer. Our goal is to continue develop each individual's skiing skills to maximize his or her athletic potential, while having fun on skis. We introduce aspects of training and conditioning that focus on the development of balance on skis, comfort with speed, comfort with both Nordic techniques and the joy of winter outdoors. This program takes the next step towards participating in local & regional competitions. Participants are encouraged to race in local races and will have the opportunity to compete in at least one regional competition. Athlete to Coach ratio: 6:1

Cross Country Training Systems
Often times we receive questions about why we have set up our teams and program offerings like we do. The Jackson Hole Ski Club Nordic Program Staff takes time and energy to develop the plan for our Nordic Program. Each program is designed to respect individual social and biological windows and to take advantage of learning opportunities and receptiveness at each level. We study and adapt sound training practices from throughout the ski world to our own athletes' needs. Training plans are a guide, a chart book, but the individual needs and goals steer the ship. For a look at the US training system see the links below. Athletes on the Development Team are in Phases 2 & 3
