Snowboard Competition Training Schedule

The Competition Team training schedule is designed for athletes who are dedicated to pursuing the highest level of elite performance.  This program seeks to maximize the athletes’ abilities as well as build creativity, discipline, drive, determination, and self-confidence in a highly focused setting.  Athletes will be expected to successfully manage time for training, travel and schoolwork while maintaining at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. 
*Fall Training is mandatory.

Skill Development Focus

Big Mountain Emphasis- National Level IFSA events
  • Riding steep, technical terrain fluidly and confidently
  • Decision making during highly competitive & very technical situations.
  • Proper line choice and competitive strategy
  • Focus on personal style and consistency
  • Create a long-term competitive game plan and marketable personal image
 
Freeride Emphasis-
  • Decision making in terrain parks and halfpipe
  • Goal setting and making plans to meet them
  • Developing a consistent set of tricks/skills used in competition throughout the season
  • Focus on personal style and consistency
  • Create a long-term competitive game plan and marketable personal image

*Athletes are recommended to take the Activities Bus to Snow King (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and should be picked up at Snow King.

*Snow King training begins January 3, 2017 and runs through March 16, 2017 - team will Practice from (1:30- 4:30) at JHMR in December

Ski Passes

Season Passes (not included in Program Tuition) must be purchased directly through the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Season Pass Offices.  To get the best rate, purchase the Grand Pass by August 31st.

$3,540 + 3 days work deposit commitment

*Program rates increase $100 on September 21st & November 1st, 2016.
*Payment plan: register by September 30th with a minimum $100 deposit.  Balance is divided over October, November & December, and paid in full by 12/31/16.
